With immense pleasure I am sharing the experience of my academic life and professional career.

Right now, I am working in Accord Communication Pvt. Ltd., as a Finance Executive. To reach this position, it has taken me only four years. Two years in MBA course for acquiring knowledge and skills and another two years in the corporate world. If I am not an MBA, it would have taken six to seven years. This way, I have saved three crucial years of my life. Not only that; MBA degree also has brightened my promotion opportunities. Credit goes to my parents for motivating me to do MBA as well as to INC.

I passed my MBA in the year 2007. Each day in those two years at INC was full of excitement. I learnt not only the theoretical concepts, but also leadership qualities, communication skills, soft skills and so on. My confidence level grew and my way of thinking changed. The entire academic activity is very good but I appreciate two activities specifically. One is the objective type question paper. This makes one read each line in the textbook, and we got a thorough knowledge of each subject. The second activity is the project work. I used to go to different industries for different projects. I did a total of 184 projects small and big in my two years of MBA. In each industry, I met the concerned persons sometimes the Director, the managers and at others, laborers/workers. That way I gathered practical knowledge and my communication skills improved. The project work was a group activity. I learnt how to handle the group members and to get work done through each of them.

Here I would like to make a special mention of my faculty, whose advice and guidance were helpful. Even today they are there to help me out in my professional matters.

Every MBA student’s aim is to get a job in a reputed company. Selection of the first job is very important. One should first study the company and work profiles. Companies choose the candidate who is equally good at knowledge, in personality and at communication. My campus placement was in ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Pvt Ltd. It was a great achievement for me because I got the job even before my last semester.

My learning from two years of corporate experience is that one should become an expert in one’s work. Only then, the subordinates, colleagues and the boss will respect you. Build a healthy relation with every one, right from the office boy to the boss.

“Correction makes one learn a lot; but, encouragement does even more. Nine tenths of my education is due to the encouragement provided by INC. The exposure to real life situations, either in the form of case study, or live projects, is very helpful in real market situations. In a management education program, it is important to develop the personality of a student and the various management events at INC are instrumental in developing our personality. IT and soft skills lab are upto date to make students practically sound in both IT and communication skills.

Education is not just preparation for life; education is life itself. INC is the place where I made a few friends for lifetime. I am now working in Deloitte, and I may not have been here without INC. An INC student has utmost value in the job market. I have seen and been part of INC and I am still playing my part by being a member of INCAS Hyderabad chapter.

Your life today is the outcome of your attitudes and choices of the past. Your life tomorrow will be the result of your attitudes and choices of today. I would advise my juniors to make the best use of all resources at INC, and shine in their streams of life.

All the Best.

I’d like to take this opportunity to express my feelings and thoughts regarding my wonderful experience at INC.

“Pursuit of knowledge without a guru is like an arrow without an aim”...and my classmates and I had this privileged opportunity to be associated with INC, which has been a great guru that shaped our career. I can recall a number of success stories of our classmates who came from rural areas and are now shining in the corporate world. The most exciting thing for me with respect to academics was the access to resources like research papers, world-class publications from IUP, mentoring from our beloved teaching faculty, quarterly mini projects and so on….Learning has been tremendous at INC especially with lectures from industry experts and a unique 4-months SIP. This was an awesome opportunity for all of us to get out of the campus and go out to the hardcore market place to face the heat. Still those memories are fresh.

When it comes to placements, INC has a great network with corporates. It was a good opportunity for me to capitalize on it. And finally I made it to IBM India. I was really impressed by the fact that INC had a separate dedicated wing, which takes care of Placements. I still remember the day when I had an opportunity to interact with my managers and they were really happy that I was from INC. Our institute has a very good reputation in the corporate world. MNCs now know that INC produces good managers as a result of observing the good work done by alumni.

I like the alumni activities organized by INCAS nowadays. They are really great stress busters. And our alumni association has a great network too, which helps our juniors to help plan their careers. The recent publications from INCAS keep us updated about various success stories, some interesting articles….and even job opportunities available in the marketplace.

My message to our wonderful juniors is ‘please do not get weighed down by all the unwanted debate about the certification’. It is YOU at the end of the day who matters. Please concentrate on your studies. Leave the rest to the institution. Capitalize on the best available resources from INC. It really has the power to shape your lives. And, one more thing which I had missed mentioning is INC’s commitment to social responsibility, which is amazing.

Overall, INC is the institute, which has shaped many lives and families. When I talk about the institute, it includes every individual, who tried to shape our careers. There was so much of individual attention that made students to feel that it is their second home. I would like to end my note by saying that—

“INC is an island of excellence in an ocean of standard institutions in India.”

All the very Best and God Bless ...

My heartfelt thanks to INC :-) Keep Rockin’ !!!
