“College life vis-à-vis Corporate life”

The main difference between these two is that in the case of College life, our responsibilities are individual-oriented. In the case of corporate life, our responsibilities are team-oriented. We should try to cooperate and combine well to work in a team. In college life, we get close to those who are caring. But in corporate life, we should involve with everyone and try to be a friend with all. Then, dress code is another important factor. We need to dress professionally during corporate life, but there is no formal dress code in the case of college life.

Corporate Life, the phrase which we had been hearing since the time we entered the college, finally becomes a reality when we entered our jobs. Entering a different world, a new arena, has been quite a different experience for almost everyone. The same people, who were just STUDENTS a few months back and had given no thought to any of the issues they would have to face in the outside world, are now tackling each and every one of such issues head on. I am talking mostly on behalf of those who joined in June, so there might be many who wouldn’t be able to relate too much with what I have to say.

Just a few random thoughts. I am not sure if others from the batch also feel the same. The struggle between the ‘professional’ and the ‘student’ is still going on. I am sure that the student will be replaced by the professional soon enough. Till then, the turbulence will continue. After all, life has to take its own path as one always has to go through all these journeys.

To be a product of INC has always been a matter of pride and competitive advantage for me - I say this from the bottom of my heart! What it delivers to us, is just incredible. With its excellent learning environment, it develops a positive attitude in us to face challenges that we come across in the corporate world. It actually makes us feel strong and confident.

How can I forget the world class study material that it provided? Being a lecturer myself now, I know that the study materials, journals, case studies that we find in our college library are rare in many other B schools. The content is undoubtedly the best among all in the industry. My suggestion to all students: utilize these resources to the maximum as, after your MBA program, you may not get this opportunity.

I was placed with a financial organization, Reliance Money, and currently I am working as a lecturer for MBA (marketing and economics) in the National Institute of Management and Technology, located at Ghaziabad.

Life has never been constant in showing different shades all these years, and if I am confident and still climbing high, it’s only because of my institution.
