How do you manage stress at work and at home? Do you both discuss it with each other?
Maulik Shah: Yes, we discuss all problems with each other. I am a patient and calm person. On the other hand, Jinal is a bit aggressive and impatient. Sometimes, she takes the initiative and completes the task which was supposed to be done by me. I like to be cool, calm and clear-headed whenever I am faced with a problem. Due to which, I am not stressed out. But we discuss each and everything we did throughout the day. We learn from each other on how to face critical problems. We always try to agree upon a common solution.
Jinal Patel: I am very aggressive and impatient. Yes, whenever I am stressed, Maulik can see it on my face. I am very tensed and scared if I am unable to solve a problem but Maulik is always there for me. I always share my problems with Maulik.
What are the important lessons you have learnt in your professional lives so far?
Maulik Shah: I think that a person is a student throughout his life. I have learnt a lot of things from the corporate world. Always think big, dream big. Always act according to the situation. Be practical and don’t be emotional every time. I worked with one of the giant organizations in India – Reliance ADA Group. I strongly believe that one should be honest to oneself.
Jinal Patel: Experience teaches a lot. We always learn lessons from our experiences. In professional life, there are politics played in the organizations but I always try to be positive and accept the situation as it is and come up with the best solution.
What would you suggest freshers?
Maulik Shah and Jinal Patel: Our advice to Management students is – always focus on your career and gradually explore the opportunities. You should dream and work for completion of your dream. Plan your studies, accept the fact and keep going. Live life king size. Just keep moving and use every opportunity to reach your career goal.
