Tell us something about yourself and your family.

I am Vikram Vats, an ex-INC student of Durgapur (Autumn Batch 2005-07), working as a Corporate Relationship Manager at ICICI Bank Limited, looking after the Corporate and SME banking, since July, 2007. I am based at Indore, MP. I have a happy family, which includes my caring mom, dad, wife and younger brother. My father is a government employee; mother is a homemaker and my brother is settled in the hospitality industry.

How have you progressed after passing out from INC?

I will always be thankful to INC and INC has given me a good start by providing me the opportunity to join India’s largest private bank – a dream organization for many aspirants.

With the kind of profile you have, you must be facing high pressure situations very often. How do you handle them?

Challenges are part of every job. Yes, I do feel the pressure at work, but I try to turn challenges into new opportunities.

How do you balance work and family life?

I try my level best to distance my professional and personal life. When I work, I work with dedication and when I am with my family, I try not to take my office work home.

What has been your biggest lesson so far in life?

I believe in myself and carry a ‘never say die’ attitude. Have a plan for life. Ups and downs are a part of life so be ever ready to face them.

What is your advice to juniors?

My advice to juniors is: have faith in yourself and be committed to your own aspirations. If you have the zeal, you can change the world.

How do you spend your leisure hours?

It’s very tough to find time for leisure these days. I have decided I will take it easy only after I turn 35. Now, it is time to build my career and work hard. Though sometimes, I paint.

Do you have friends in INC and how often do you meet them?

Yes, I do have many friends in INC and we do keep in touch with each other inspite of the distances and our busy lives that keep us apart.
